Andrea Nemtin

Andrea is a senior leader and award-winning media creator who has pioneered an exciting course for organizational excellence as founding president and CEO of the Inspirit Foundation. In fewer than five years, she has worked with her staff team and board to launch a series of critically needed granting programs and special initiatives addressing national inclusion. Most recently, she played an integral role in auditing, selecting positive impact strategies, and amending the organizational structure to embrace the foundation’s unprecedented 100% impact investing portfolio strategy.

Andrea brings a rare combination of creativity, business acumen, and passion for social inclusion to Inspirit, fostered by her experience at organizations including Alliance Atlantis, Documentary Organization of Canada, Hot Docs, and Disability Arts. As the CEO of PTV, an independent production company, Andrea led both domestic and international business planning processes, program development, and international sales. PTV grew into a multi-million-dollar international media enterprise under her leadership, received nods from the Gemini Awards, the Webby Awards, Canadian New Media Awards, and Wired Magazine.

In addition to her organizational responsibilities at Inspirit, Andrea enjoys exchanging ideas with young changemakers, community champions, and fellow foundation leaders. Her speaking engagements include Oxford University, the Social Finance Forum, and the Philanthropic Canadian Conference.
